The Accounting Team plays a critical role in the company’s financial operations. As Carlene, Accounting Associate, shared, they perform essential daily operations that ensure the business remains in legal compliance and manages cash flow efficiently. The Accounting Team keeps cash moving and bills paid. Without them, day-to-day business operations would come to a halt.

Carlene noted that she chooses to practice her work at PMI because her contributions bring value to the company. She shared that learning new aspects of the business motivates her to perform daily tasks to the best of her ability and to remain part of a strong, collaborative team.

She also explained that there are ongoing learning sessions that benefit all team members, supported by the Accounting Manager and the VP of Finance and Accounting. These sessions help strengthen understanding and coordination across teams.

Carlene added a lighthearted note, sharing that an interesting fact about her is that she has retired from PMI several times, but still seems to be hanging around.

She has been with PMI for 18 years, beginning in Operations as an Administrative Assistant. Over time, she learned compliance requirements and transitioned into Accounting, moving within the company to gain a deeper understanding of how the business operates from multiple perspectives.
