PMI’s Anti-Racism, Diversity and Inclusion Committee
The mission of PMI’s Anti-Racism, Diversity and Inclusion Committee is to work to create a more just, equitable, and antiracist environment. This work includes but is not limited to identifying policies, practices, and conditions that: create adverse working conditions for all persons, prevent all persons from achieving their maximum potential, or alienate all persons from their colleagues. Additionally, to achieve a more just, equitable, and antiracist environment, the ARDI committee will make recommendations to management to address such policies, practices, and conditions to make PMI a more inclusive and welcoming workplace for all.
Because Preservation Management Inc. employs and provides housing for many races and ethnic groups, we believe it is essential to share these differences, heritages, struggles, and accomplishments as a whole. Accordingly, the ARDI Committee will be spotlighting diversity and inclusion events throughout the year that are relevant to the affordable housing industry. We will also take a deeper dive into PMI’s standard policies and practices to ensure compliance with our mission statement.
The ARDI committee was created directly correlated to the PMI Pyramid of Success. Similarly, we stand for the process of continuous improvement. We plan to diversify the norm by having a collective representation at every table. We embrace the principle of respect for people while maintaining the goal of complying with what is right. We uphold the PMI values by always offering an open line of communication while maintaining true professionalism, and more importantly, we are accountable to you, our PMI Family.
